Pankaj Chaturvedi, born on July 01, 1972, in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, with ancestral roots in Tishti, Kanpur-Dehat, received his early education in Etawah and Kanpur. From class 7, he studied at U.P. Sainik School, Lucknow, completing his I.S.C. there, followed by a B.A. from Lucknow University. He excelled academically, securing first position in M.A. (Hindi) and M.Phil. from J.N.U. in 1994 and 1998, respectively, and earned his Ph.D. from J.N.U. in 2007. Pankaj has published numerous critical essays on poetry, culture, and education, along with translations and interviews. His notable works include poetry collections like Ek Sampoornata Ke Liye (1998) and Raktchaap Aur Anya Kavitayen (2015), and critical works such as Aatmakatha Ki Sanskriti (2003) and Jeene Ka Udaatta Aashay (2015). He also translated 51 shlokas of Bhartrihari into Hindi. His accolades include the Bharat Bhushan Agrawal Smriti Puraskar (1994), Devishankar Awasthi Samman (2003), Ramchandra Shukla Puraskar (2003), and Kalinga Literary Festival Book Award (2023).
