Chemistry Department

Vikramajit Singh Sanatan Dharma College, Kanpur was established in the year 1921. The Department of Chemistry was founded in the Science Faculty in the year 1957. The regular classes at postgraduate level commenced in the year 1964. In early years, many students used to join the department from different states of our country specially Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. It shows the academic excellence of Chemistry Department since its beginning. Twenty-one posts were sanctioned for teaching faculty and at present seventeen faculty members.

VSSD College offers a highly regarded B.Sc. program with core subjects in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
