V.S.S.D. College, Kanpur proudly hosts a Distance Learning Study (Centre code- S011) under the aegis of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU), Prayagraj. The centre is committed to providing flexible, accessible, and affordable higher education through the distance learning mode, catering especially to learners who are unable to pursue regular, full-time courses due to personal or professional reasons.
The Study Centre serves as a bridge between the university and distance learners, ensuring the delivery of quality education and academic support throughout the student journey.
Admission Cycles:-
Admissions for UPRTOU distance learning programs are conducted twice a year:
- July Session
- January Session
Interested candidates can apply during either of the admission cycles as per their convenience.
Objectives of the Study Centre:
- To extend the reach of higher education through open and distance learning.
- To offer academic and administrative support to enrolled students.
- To facilitate study material distribution, contact classes, and assignment submission.
- To promote self-learning, lifelong education, and career advancement opportunities.
Co-cordinator
Prof. Malviya leads the study centre, ensuring efficient coordination between the
university and students. He is responsible for academic planning, student counseling, and
the overall functioning of the centre.
