Dr. Anita Sonkar is a Professor and Head of the Sanskrit Department at VSSD PG College, Kanpur. She holds an M.A., B.Ed., Proficiency in Tibetan from the University of Lucknow, an Aacharya from Sampoornanand Sanskrit University and Ph.D. from the University of Lucknow. Her research focuses on Sanskrit-Sahitya, Indian Philosophy, Indian Aesthetics, and Pali-Prakrit Language & Literature. With over 28+ years of teaching experience at both UG and PG levels, she has received the Vishesh Puraskar (2005) from Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Sansthan, She has also been a UGC Junior and Senior Research Fellow.
