VSSD College, Kanpur, organized an orientation program for the newly admitted students of B.Sc. and BCA under the Science Faculty on July 30, 2026.

The event was inaugurated by the Principal, Prof. Neeru Tandon, who warmly welcomed the students and highlighted the rich history and academic legacy of the college. In her address, Prof. Tandon introduced the students to the various student-centric cources, facilities and support systems available on campus, including NCC, NSS, and a wide range of clubs such as the hackathon club and the placement cell. She also spoke about the opportunities available at the college and encouraged students to focus on their studies while also actively participating in extracurricular activities for their overall personality development. The special lecture for the program was delivered by Sri Abhishek Kumar Srivastava, Sr. Business Manager, Product and Marketing, Cybersecurity, IITK C3iHub, IIT Kanpur. Discussing the theme "Future Ready: Developing Skills for A.I. and the Digital Era," he made the students aware of the increasing danger posed by digital fraud and cybercrime. He also provided helpful strategies to safeguard mobile phones, tablets, and computers from hacking and cyber threats. The program was attended by Prof. P. S. Dobal, Prof. Nand Lal, Prof. Manjari Srivastava, Prof. Ashish Kumar Singh, Dr. Anshu Singh Sanger, Mr. Lalit Narayan Misra, Smt. Akansha Misra, Sri Om Nath Dwivedi, conveners of various college committees, all science faculty members, and students. The event was smoothly conducted by Prof. Ashish Kumar Singh.
