- Dr. Rakesh Shukla from Department of Hindi received विशिष्ट साहित्य सम्मान (द्वारा भारतीय विचारक समिति कानपुर) एवं विशिष्ट साहित्यकार सम्मान (रोटरी क्लब आफ कानपुर)
- Dr. Indramani from Department of Political Science received साहित्य भूषण from Akhil bhartiya sahitya parishad, uttar Pradesh on 17.09.2017.
- Anshumaan Pandey research Scholar of Dr. Anita Sonkar got the prestigious scholarship from HRD Ministry through Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi.
- Astha Tewari (B.Com. Part-I) has received President award as guide (Rangers and Rovers). She is getting training in VSSD College unit.
- Dr. N.M. Nigam received an award for Girl child and women welfare activities from U.P. Government and Nari Ratna Samman from Bhartiya Shikshan Mandal.
- Samriddhi Gupta from Department of commerce topped in CPT in 2018
- Dr. Ramesh Chandra Sharma, Former Head department of Hindi has been selected for the prestigious Sahitya Bhooshan Award by the Uttar Pradesh Hindi Academy
- Dr. Raeksh Shukla of Hindi Department got the Innovative Leadership Award and Shikshak Sahityalankar Alankaran
- Dr. Shyam Babu Gupta, Director Deendayal Shodh Kendra, at CSJM, Kanpur, has been nominated by the Governor, Uttar Pradesh, Hon’ble Shri Ram Naik, as a member of Board of Management, Lucknow University Earlier, Dr. Gupta had been the Principal of VSSD College, Kanpur
- Virendrajit Singh, Hon’ble Secretary Board of Management VSSD College Kanpur, Chairman of Deendayal Research Institute and at present holding the post of Kshetra Sangh Chalak Poorvi Uttar Pradesh received the BHARAT RATNA, country’s highest civilian award by The President of India Sri. Ram Nath Kovind ji on behalf of Nanaji Deshmukh was one of the founding members of Bhartiya Jana Sangh. He established a chain of RSS inspired schools throughtout India.
- Dr. R.M. Yadav, Associate Profesor, Dept. of Physics, VSSD College, Kanpur got Fulbright Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Fellowship (Research) for nine months. His project title is Topological Design of Carbon Nano-Structures and their Renewable Energy Applications.
- Dr. Devendra Awasthi, HOD Economics, was elected as General Secretary of Indian Economics Association, (Estd.1917). This prestigious association having more than 8000 renowned economists and Nobel laureates was once led by former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. The Association is proud of having as its President, the Nobel Laureate Prof. Amratya Sen in 1980. We are proud of Dr. Awasthi for leading such an academic institution.
- Pankaj Bhatiya- S/o Senior Advocate Shyam Sundar Bhatia was sworn in as Hon’ble Justice of Allahabad High Court. He did his L.LB. from VSSD College in 1988.
- Akshay Pandey- Student of VSSD College joind U.P. Police Services in July 2018. He got the Best Trainee Award for field craft and battle craft on 24th Jan. 2019 by Prakash and DIG Shanwaj khan at additional training centre CRPF Assam.
- Mayank Dwivedi- (Dept. of Geography) got selected in PCS.
- Dr.Neeru Tandon- On 21 April 2019 Bharat Uthan Nyas presented award for innovative teaching to Dr. Neeru Tandon Head of the department, English and praised her contribution towards e-learning. She has contributed 101 e-lectures for students of English through MHRD epg Pathshala. Those lectures are available on you tube for all.
- Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Award, President Ramnath Kovind honoured Sri. Virendrajit Singh, Secretary of the VSSD College Managing Committee, with the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Award, which is given for the significant contribution towards Indian culture and education and social service.
- Rani Laxmi Bai Award, Madam Neelima Katiya, Minister of State for Higher Education, was awarded thwe Rani Laxmi Bai Award Ms. Neelima has been a students of VSSD College Kanpur.
- Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University Award, President Ramnath Kovind honoured the Vice Chansellor of the Agra University Dr. Arvind Dixit with Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University Award. Dr. Arvind Dixit is the Alumnus of VSSD College as well.
- Shri Rishi Kuamr Shukla has been appointed as the new Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Shri Rishi Kumar Shukla, Fromer MP DGP, is an officer of 1983 cadre of the IPS. He has been appointed for a period of two years from the day of assumption of office. He was a student of VSSD College (B.Com.) from 1979 to 1982.
